I agree with Barbara Todaro 's percentage. The socializing part makes you real as a person. We are all multi-dimensional which makes up our industry. It is a shame to just focus on one side of the equation. When I refer someone, I like to give an overview of the individual, rather than, this person is good at what they do (period). A

Oh I dunno - I do a little of each. I like Joe's comment about limiting the blogging and commenting to two hours per day.
Good morning Bob. Needless to say, socializing and blogging in this platform can consume an awful lot of time. I'm doing my best to limit my time by maximizing the effectiveness of what I do.
I think I spend more time socializing on Active Rain.
Bob Crane most of you know I am ActiveRain addict! I also spend time on Social Media - however, not much.
I feel much better when I am on ActiveRain - now if you consider that as a 'better use of time'...

Blogging definitely because of the chance to be found and the links back to my website.
I limit my blogging and commenting to two hours per day and it pays off very well.

Blogging, I am not even sure how to socialize on here?
Could be 75 blogging 25 socialing. Either way every day i learn something new.
I try to do both each day. Not sure which has benefited me the most, but it all feels good! Thanks Active Rain.
70% blogging and 30% socializing....both are important....
