Sure do! I post pictures of our new listings and team events. It's not an everyday thing, but we get some nice interaction there when we do. Edited to add: If anyone wants to see what we do, you can find us there as "cameronteam".

I just used Facebook to get over 150 shares to a link to one of my listings. Yeah. We use the heck out of social media.

Instagram is great for visual marketing. It takes a while to learn which hashtags work the best but once you do you can really build a following and a community. I {heart} IG!

I do not use Pinterest or Instagram...I may be wrong, but it is not where people are looking for listings. However, I use Facebook all the time and generate a decent amount of activity on my business page and personal. www.Facebook.com/FosterSmithRE . I connect FB to my twitter feed, and use hashtags. I also use Google Plus, AR, and my personal blog. I will mention though that I have a marketing asst. that helps me with these things...not enough time in the day otherwise.

Social Media is definitley the best tool in todays world, but I am also a believer of using older methods as well, there nothing wrong with an Ad in a local paper also!.

Instagram wouldn't be my first thought or even second if I was looking for a house.

Yes it is a good way to connect with others. And like all social media, it is not a bill board but a conversation, it someone likes your photo or video, like their's back. And I use hash tags!

Hi Lise, it's all I can do to keep up with ActiveRain and some Google+. I use Instagram for my personal use.

Never used it. We are saturated with too much of the social marketing so that for those who become involved with all of it; do they have more than 24 hours in their days? I sure don't; at some point I need to be physically in front of clients to sell.

I started but soon stopped with little traffic. Maybe i should start again, but need people to see it for it to be worth it.

Not currently - but just saw an interesting presentation by an exec from Facebook who highlighted the advantages of including Instagram...

I have not. Not saying that I will not in the future. I just need to dive in a little more to determine the best practices.

I read a lot about Rainers who use social media to market and close on their opportunities, yet, how do they quantify their time to manage these sites? For example, how can anyone determine that IG alone or FB alone was solely responsible for a close on an opportunity and if so, how much time was spent on the administration or management of that campaign?
When you tie all the elements of marketing your opportunities and close, is it because of just one single element or a comprehensive marketing campaign?
My belief is that it's nearly impossible to single out just one social media element that's responsible for closing an opportunity. So when calculating the value of your time and the sum of time spent on social media and other marketing campaigns, did you earn a reasonable profit?

IG is a great tool that has been helping our team connect and market listings.

While the 30 & 40-somethings seem to be bedazzled with Instagram, I have watched agents get traction out of Pinterest. They way they use it is NOT to promote a listing, but rather to have an archive of properties they have represented in the past. I'm not convinced prospects are SEARCHING for properties or agents, but they sure are VERIFYING or checking us out online.

Carla Muss-Jacobs, Principal Broker/Owner - A better question, or a different question?
I have set up an account for when I start to do business. Instagram, and other platforms may not be an ideal service to guarantee business, but it is exposure. The more eyes that can see a listing, the better odds of getting business, whether it be for that listing or something in the future. They become aware of your business. Plus, it's free to post.
There a many apps one could use to post to several social media sites with one submission.
I realize it may not be for everybody, but if there's a way to get my name or my business seen by more people (especially to no cost for me), you better believe I'm taking advantage of it.

The better question is: When the listing agreement is no longer in play, do you REMOVE the photos from Instagram?
