I have called it quits. The deciding factor is having enough savings for a comfortable retirement.
You have to be careful because you may outlive your plans if you take good care of yourself.
Redondo Beach, CA
I do this at least once a day! But calling it quits never seems to stick as I've been doing it for 23 years now.!
I used to have an occasional day of that. Now days I just think about how long I want to continue this before I retire. I want to travel and once you stay gone a lot your business will wane.
This is my 26th year and I am more passionate than ever. When I lose the passion then I give up. Having too much fun now.
Let's be honest, we all have. Maybe myself more than others because I am getting closer to the retirement age and don't have as many bills as I used to, I can entertain that thought. But some of these people who think the axis of the world runs through the top of their head, make me want to tell them where to put it. I'm talking about agents, clients, lenders and anyone else who can screw up a real estate deal. OK, rant over. Going back to work now.
I sometimes put up my hands and call it a day, but I would never quit. That's why I love Real Estate, there is never a dull moment lol................
I've had those days but that was before the realization that you either have to make the decision to be in or out. You can't keep going back and forth. When I realized that and I decided i was "in", I never had those days again! I think after that it is all down hill and like Spirit said, the positives outweigh the negative.
Yes, haven't we all. I am not sure what the deciding factor is - I think I like Roy Kelley's answer. Apparently I'm not there yet.
Every day is new and fresh with new problems to solve. You can never say it is boring or unrewarding.
Luckily never. I do get preplexed sometimes.
I can honestly say, never....I have always loved what I do....and I have had many niche areas to focus, depending on what was selling in the marketplace.... I've focused on new construction, investment property, condos conversions, land and resale single family homes.... that carried me through 37 years...
I have never felt that way.
0 days a week. After 8 years in this industry, and a 3rd Generation Realtor my eyes are wide open and I know what to expect. People, can be funny. Overall, the good of running my own little PLLC outweigh the not so good.
Never Jane, I am fighting till I drop. I always have a positive attitude too.
