I've never paid the E&O on an annualized basis. It's part of my monthly fee, so I've not had a problem.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson I never received a rebate on the E&O insurance premium. On the other hand, I never had to pay at the new brokerage until the annual premium came around again.

I've only been with 2 Brokerages..the first closed and we paid per transaction. The second Broker I've been with since since 1995 and we renew or E&O Premium on our anniversary date. It is a low amount much better than per transaction!

No, I was never rebated the unused portion of the pro-rated premium.  Thankfully, the brokerage I work for now pays the E&O for its agents.

I did. I left a broker a month after I paid E&O and it was a lot ( not sure but much more than 1k). I was not able to get it back, since a broker pay for all the agents as a package and the insurance refused to refund. As an apology the broker let me take my one listing. ( by contract, if you leave, all your listings stay with a former broker).

Because it's an annual premium I don't think about too much after it's been paid but the concept feels right Sally K. & David L. Hanson.
