I am a card carrying member of Boy Scouts of America and sit on the committee for our local troop and help with rank advancements and merit badge counselling.  I also participate in my quilt guild, we provide quilts to the House of Ruth - a home for battered women and their families and also to Veteran's at the local VA. 

Yes...more than once...RED Day is what KW agents do...we also participate in a number of fund raisers for variosu local charities.

Once a year???? I do it once a week ... well 4 times a month so technically slightly less than once a week.

And it is regularly scheduled and business does not interfere.

Oh yes Michael Thornton - we have RED DAY - which is TODAY where ALL Keller Williams agent keep their business aside to help the community for a cause.

Well if you are talking about Red Day when we were with KW, yes. Right now we are trying to develop our business model for longevity so we have been remiss in that area or several months. Thanks for the reminder.

Once or twice a year it's usually the waterway clean-up that gets me out of work for at least half a day at a time. Mangroves capture a lot of debris that circulates in and out with each tide. There's always plenty unfortunately! 

I don't normally take designated time off, but I do try to integrate it into my regular schedule.

Not once a year, at least once a week. Community service is important to me.

Michael, heading over to our Girl Scout Camp to blaze a new trail this morning.  Will be about 30 agents from our brokerage in attendance today to help out.

MUCH more than that. Officer in three Veteran Organizations, active in Chamber of Commerce activities, and Realtor Board Officer which entails a lot of charitable work. PLUS, Church volunteer.

Oh yeah, I help people buy and sell houses too...

Yes, every year we not only participate in but help sponsor our annual Carlsbad Boys and Girls Club annual Beach Bocce Ball World Championship which has raised over 1 million dollars in the past 38 years.

I highly recommend it as a great family outing and a wonderful day at the beach even if you don't participate and don't forget to bring Fido as "Dog Beach" (the event location) where the "Turf Meets The Surf down at 'Ole Del Mar"

We also promote and participate in the action packed fun filled "Neptune 4th of July Parade" on Neptune in Leucadia which will be celebrating some 30 plus years of a totally un permitted and un regulated non bureaucratic fun event where you will see everything from ole Woodies to Ferrari's, golf carts, kids on bikes, skates, scooters and skateboards along with floats and what would a Neptune Day Parade be without the one and only "King Neptune"

Yes. More than once I passed on business when I was coaching my two son's baseball teams.

For me from the start of October to the end of April on Monday nights, overnight I serve as a Site-Manager for an emergency temporary shelter housed in a church in Chicago Heights, Illinois, and supportedc by the South Suburban Pads organization - http://sspads.org.  I also serve on the Board of Directors.

I volunteer with the US Green Building Council, Residential Green Building Committee. While there, I do not watch my phone for messages, etc. as the work we're doing in Maricopa County is far more important!

Red Day and Bike drive for children to have for Christmas are  the two main ones

Yes I do, I do not know if it interferes with my business though.  I am director of Animal Welfare of  2 communities of Los Angeles, I sit on the board of Fixnation the largest free spay and neuter clinics of ferral cats in the U.S.  And I speak for abused woman and drug abuse for Veterans programs as well as writing for the Examainer on line as a health expert.

Yes..tomorrow (Sat.) is the "Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful" Great American Clean-up day. I'll be there at 6 am. 

Yes, as a real estate agent who helps people move home I support SWAGS for the Homeless and purchase a backpack bed every time I appraise, sell or buy a home. I do lots of community days as well but Backpack Beds are an important issue and although an Australian design and invention, they are available in USA as well, so if you can, spread the word about them.

I have a strong background in Fine Arts and serve on our local Arts Council. We bring international level musicians to our rural area to give master classes and performances for the local schools. With so many music budgets being slashed, I feel its important to ensure that students have exposure to top notch musicians. The local community also benefits from the low-cost concerts that are also provided.

I volunteered  at the Friends of the Library Book Sale this year, but I need to do more.

When I was a broker I got so involved with animal rescue that it's a wonder I had time for work. And then there was the Chamber of Commerce... If you aren't careful, volunteerism can take over your life. 

We try to do it on a regular basis, not just at certain times. We are highly involved in our community in many ways, and it's very worthwhile. And far from forgoing business, it's actually enhanced it. A win-win for all!

Yes, on Red Day with KW. Yesterday, we were at Camp Wilkes doing some painting and yard work.

I have volunteered for many years on different community organizations, often serving as chairman, president, treasurer or board member.   I have received numerous awards for community service.  Also served on local, state and national industry trade organizations.

Once a year I head to our local Keller Williams office and volunteer while wearing red.

I do.  Being a part of a community is important.  If more people strived to make a difference in their own backyard, our country would be a much, much better place.

We like to give back to our community. We volunteer at the food bank for a morning or afternoon, we have helped on a habitat for humanity build, we help out with our annual Susan B Komen race. Its a great feeling to give back to our own community.
