Jack Lewitz I agree! If I'm 15 minutes early, I'm late.

Showing a lack of appreciation for the time of others is the ULTIMATE form of disrepect. Jack Lewitz behavior is the example of respecting others is all things including THEIR time.
Am I punctual? Not if another is attempting to make me dance to their unreasonable tune. These misguided persons seldom like my other speed.

Yes. I'm punctual as a conscience choice.
I run 6 meetings per month minimum and I infamously start them on time. I reward the early and the late always miss something :)
I offer that same respect to who I'm meeting, it's a sin in my world to be late. My bride feels the same way. I'd rather be early and go for a walk or sit and read in my car than be late.
I used to be a wedding mobile DJ, that trained me early in life, just like the military, being on time is late, 15 minutes early is on time. It was less stressful to have cushion, setting up. And...you do not want to see a bride's death-glare when you arrive late to set up her wedding.

As you know , most communication is non verbal. Being on time is a message. Being late is a message. Notice the judge is usually late to court. Who is the most important person in the room? Do you get the message? If you want to communicate to your clients that you are the most important person in the room, arrive late. If you want to communicate to your clients that they are the most important person in the room, arrive on time. If you want to communicate to your co operating Realtor that you are important, arrive at the closing late. Unless I am the co operating Realtor. In that case, if you arrive late, the closing will be half over. Unless you are bringing the escrow check, the closing may be completely over. Remember this. No one thinks pleasent thoughts of you while they are waiting for you. Be on time.

I am a work in progress! But even so, I'm never going to be 45 min late.

I always try to be at appointment ahead of time. There is no excuse for the attorney to be late for a settlement.

Prompt barely describes me. I am always on time and typically a bit early. Hate tardiness. It puts me in a really bad mood and people who are tardy all the time are disrespectful of me or anyone else they put through this.

I try to be, but I've learned since moving to CA, traffic often influences my punctuality. An accident or detour from the freeways can make what should be a 25 minute commute easily an hour and a half. I've gotten a lot better about my punctuality though, I'm not early for everything but I'm on time for most things.

Jack, yes, absolutely. Being on time is crucial in my Business, and I have respect for the time of others too, so I feel it's very important to be prompt for all appointments.
