Never. I want my comments to be mine and mine alone.

A great question, Joe. And in my case, I first write my response, then look at what others have to say.

Sometimes Joe. If I read it and have a strong opinion or answer I will just write my comments and then read the others but sometimes I am interested to see what others have said.

Sometimes. It varies on the subject and if I have time.

For the most part I just let them rip Joe, on the remainder it's a metter of if the post or comment screams "Oh, this'll should be good." Often the comments make the post instead of the other way around.

I usually just make my comment but depending on the topic, I may read the other comments first to see if everyone else has already said what I said, then I can expand on that instead of just being an echo.

If 177 comments preceed mine, I will read the blog again and post my observation.
If 10 or less comments I will read the comments, and usually post my observation regarding the blog.
Occaisionally, for a blog with 177 comments, I will tally the comments to reveal the narrow mindset of real estate professionals who are commenting.

Sometimes it depends on what the blog is about and my thoughts on the subject.

Joe- it really depends. If there are a lot of comments, then I'll go ahead and comment, then if I have time read the other comments. You can learn a lot not just from the post but also from the other comments!

Joe,
I read the comments, because most of the time they are written by people I respect. I like to read how they think. Then I write mine, sometimes I even refer to them, because they inspired me in some way...A

Always, comments can be more interesting some time offering more insight, new questions or a great addition. Any crazy or sarcastic comments are deleted.

Sometimes. Others do not necessarily feel the same way that I do. So I want to know the feel of others also. Open Mindedness..

Business is so crazy, I barely have enough time to write and comment. No, I do not read all the comments before making my own.

I always read the comments first, if the blog topic interests me I am curious what others have to say.

Sometimes, not always if I am pressed for time. When I do, I must admit I often learn stuff.

Often! Especially will read replies first if the post really has a sincere and urgent ask or call to action, to see if others already said what came to my mind - I don't like being the nth person to say the same thing when we can just "like" the 1st person to say it 100 times vs. repeat it 101 times. I may have something that no one said and that unique comment may be far more helpful to the blogger by then... Then there are plenty of times I don't even read the post, just the title before I comment. I confess. That is not wise.

Hi Joe,
I tend to read the comments..I like to see others comments and sometimes comment or quote part of their comments. It feels like interacting more with the group!

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. It just depends on my interest level on the topic.

Joe -- it depends. With time at a premium and trying to find posts of those I follow, I don't always even have an opportunity. If I "see" someone who typically writes thoughtful comments I may read.

Sometimes if the question warrants it and I am really curious what others have to say.
