Sugar isn't killing anyone. A lack of knowledge/indifference toward food choices and a lazy lifestyle is killing everyone. Sugar is fine if eaten in moderation & balance to everything else. In fact, some high sugar foods such as honey and some fruits have tremendous health benefits.
I avoid refined sugars, candy in excess, and processed carbs, but it ain't the sugar that's the problem - it's the food industry & public indifference.

I sure hope not. I love sweets, but try to limit them.

I gave up on sugar and sweets long time ago. And I do not think, it is our biggest problem. The quality of food and produce in general is terrible. The market is flooded with cheap food. Sad to say but cheap food is also poor quality food. Add air and water pollution, etc.

Sugar won't kill you but eating too much of it will.

The refined stuff and the corn syrups are not great. I do LOVE sugar from my grandbabies though!

Yes sugar is very addictive. I use to weigh 200 lb. I lost 70 pounds by getting off of sugar and eating healthy.

I actually eat very litle sugar. Now that I've stopped drinking wine I have even less manufactured sugar in my system. I've been reading labels for years and rarely use anything with sugar or sugar by any other name.

I have a little high-cacao dark chocolate occasionally but otherwise don't eat sugar other than natural sugars in fresh fruits, etc.

I am aware of reports to the effect that sugar is now considered our nutritional enemy number one. Moderating sugar intake is definitely a good idea, for many good reasons.

Great real estate insight. If it's not one thing that's going to kill you, it's another. Lovely topic.
