We get thank you notes and we always let the sender know they are appreciated.

I consistently send 10 Thank You cards each and every week and have done so for decades.  I cannot remember the last time I received one though.

It is a great habit to get into because during each week you're actively seeking out things to be thankful for - it gives another perspective to what might be going on!

I send out thank you cards to just about everyone. I rarely receive one, so when I do, I do NOT take it for granted.

Good morning Michael. I gave them all the time and do receive them from time to time, my preference is using the phone.

Rarely. And when I do, they are appreciated. It takes time and effort --> unlike a text or email. :) 

Never receive thank you notes from vendors. It is not, or shall I say, no longer expected.

I am a big proponent of hand written notes, so when I do receive on, I am uber impressed.  We sent one of our favorite home inspectors a thank you note and a gift certificate to a local pizza place (he has several kids, all active in sports, so we knew they would enjoy it) and he still talks about how no one has ever thanked him for the work he does.  Yes, I know he is paid by his clients, but we still appreciate the times he "fits" one of ours clients in, as well as the care he takes with each of them and wanted to let him know that. A hand written note or any touch of thoughtfulness can go a long way.  I send notes to agents with whom I have had a pleasant transaction, settlement office folks who have been especially competent, everyone appreciates being recognized for doing a good job. 

I get calls and rarely a thank you card. 

I do not expect thank you cards from vendors.

If they have taken the time it should be acknowledged.

Cards arrive on a very consistent basis.

Most have never touched the hand of the individual I worked with.

The card that contains evidence of personalizing communicates to me an individual who:

• understands their craft,
• an individual who will pick up the phone or
• knock on the door or
• any of those FUNDAMENTAL practices that creates a firm foundation for a business.

I celebrate those who discipline themselves in a commitment to their business success. These are the exact ones I want to do buseiness with. 

THEY ARE SOLUTION PROVIDERS.  (they model their commitment)

Thank you cards are nice.
