When I list a home, I also set up a drip to my sellers keeping them aware of properties in the same neighborhood and what status they are.

I update my sellers after every showing on their home, after I follow up with the agent. Otherwise I usually touch base with them about 3 times a week, and I generally give a market condition update each month. Hopefully, they will only receive one market condition update.
