I think that many judge a book by its cover, and that is how many people are.  Some don't and some do.  The most important things is that you have confidence, and if you are confident about your clean sparkling car and don't care how people are going to judge you, you are going to be fine...It is that lack of confidence in yourself that is the hook for someone who judges according to cars, clothes. etc.  A

Absolutely not. When a man puts on a $3000 suit or a well groomed man with slacks and shirt on, the difference may be un-measurable.  A tie may show he care more than the leased car he drives.

The differerence is $649/moth lease impoprt -$149/payment accord=$500 saving a month.

Now, if one drives a 1966 restored Camaro convertible the clients will ask a lot of questions.

I sell luxury homes and I drive quirky cute vehicles.  I've had the so called luxury cars too and I really don't think it makes much of a difference.  If someone is judging me by what I drive, they're not really someone I want to spend my time with.  Millionaires and Billionaires know better, it is the person lacking in confidence that judges.

It SHOULDN'T, but often times some clients will want to know you are selling enough to buy a nice car.

Your car certainly reflects you to some extent. I drive a late model, clean honda accord. My clientele are low and mid range buyers...I do not specialize in the luxury market. If I did, I think I would feel the need to drive a luxury car.

It might matter to a small %, but as long as it's clean and dependable, I don't think most people even notice.

Like what we wear and our personal grooming we should have a decent, clean car that's kept in good condition. Personally I don't opt for "fancy" cars, they aren't practical for our business.

I would think it has more to do with what type of person you are rather than who you work with.

I guess it could, people see things in different ways, opinions vary.   I would not want to drive anything too "fancy" or beat up.  Would not want to stand out on either side of the spectrum.

I have a 2007 Lexus RX-350 with 165,000 miles and it is paid for. I sell investment real estate and the object lesson is that I would rather invest in things that appreciate instead of depreciating. It is a valuable representation.

Good morning. Sometimes it makes a difference, for whatever reason. For whatever reason so thing that a car has something to do with success and someone selling a home may use that as a criteria.

Make it a great week!

There should be some type of barometer to assess which vehicle type matches our perceptions of what we need to drive. This independent thought process is really draining.

No one has ever bought a house from you because they liked your car.

Yet according to a Lexus dealer, there are more Lexus, Mercede, BMW, etc., vehicles of Realtors repossessed each year than any other profession.

I frankly find that sadly amusing.

Having a neat and clean vehicle speaks volumes. Having a dented up, worn out vehicle also says much about you. I remember many years ago an agent wanted to list my house. She drove up in a very old vehicle and I wasn't sure she would make it out of the driveway without leaving a puddle of oil. I didn't list with her.

I never judge a book by its cover! I have had a client walk in dressed in ragged shorts and old worn out sandals and then discover he is a multi millionaire!! Of course I have also seen the Benz driving, designer clothes wearing client that has the worse credit ever and is in deep debt!!

Not at all. It could be an older collector car. As long as it is clean inside and out, that should be sufficient.
