We are totally Apple. I'd seriously look at the Macbook Air.

I like my macbook pros. Once going Mac, you don't want to go back to a piece of crap. No anit-virus to clog down the OS.

Now if you travel a lot, that 'Air' should be a choice!
The MacBook Air is really light, but the MacBook Pro is still relatively light weight and has more memory...that's why we've bought the MacBook Pro.
I don't think the air has a cd/dvd drive which I want from time to time so I went with pro. I have my iPad for light weight so it's fine by me it's a little heavier.
If lighter is better for you go with the Air. There is not much difference between the two. I opted for the Pro because it was slightly larger.
We have Macbook Air. We both love how light it is, and we use it when we travel mostly, or when we feel like working outside or downstairs. We work on our desktops upstairs. From an aesthetic view, I like the new Air and the gold color...A
After my last window's crash, i said to my self I would go Mac Air if it happens again.
I don't know the Macs.
Kathy Streib I have an iPad and and iPhone, but prefer Windows on my desk top.

I wish I could help you out! At least you already are familiar with their way of doing things. That has to be a big help.
Kathy - It does seem like a lot of people have iPhones and iPads these days, so it would make sense to have an Apple computer as well. I do not know anything about the Macbook Air or Pro, so can't really help in that sense. However, I see why you are heading in that direction.
