I am very excited about this. We have been in a vacuum for way too long. It's not just Ben and what he will or will not do for his business but also Bob will be back to help us all succeed.

I think he will use it to offer his training tools or programs which are fantastic by the way. He knows how agents want to be treated and having it shoved down our throats will not be the approach. There will be a new style and I think ActiveRain will rise to a new level. And all the upgrading of the site should slow down too, hopefully.

I was overwhelmed with relief when I heard. I think having MarketLeader/Trulia/Zillow at the helm just didn't feel right. Ben taking over and Bob coming back will mean that someone actually cares.

The blue logo turns into Red Keller Williams colors?????
I think it is positive. Zillow didn't upgrade the site much. If you were a blogger on Trulia you found that Zillow was only interested in advertising revenue. I think Zillow will spin off- sell Trulia as well.
Active Rain is a great learning tool. As much you put in sharing information, Agents and Lenders get back double. Selling residential real estate is tough and often a lonely pursuit with many issues- legal, marketing, motivation, and being a fixer of all things.
My crystal ball says Ben will use it for recruiting agents- what do you think?

According to 'Ben's Blog' trending now, here is an excerpt:
- The domain name will also be restored to ActiveRain.com and will no longer be a subdomain of Trulia. Trulia, Zillow and my team believe this is in the best interest of your content and the sites SEO.
Protecting agent IP is a very good beginning.

I think this is great news for AR. Thrilled to have Bob back and glad that there will be focus on AR and owned by someone who cares and relates well to agents.
Yes, I think it will have benefits for Ben both for recruiting and all of his agent tools. And, at the same time, I think that will help all of us.
I'm glad he's trying to take objective approach and not promote one over another (although no one is ever completely unbiased). I think he will also leverage the site for learning (e.g. best practices, creative ideas, surveys, etc.)
Overall, I think it's a win-win.

I do hope, that we'll see less changes and more improvements. To tell you the truth, I do not worry at all.

I think it is great news. Hopefully, some of the rainers who are MIA will return.
