Actually we're quite lucky here.  Very few weekend or nightly showings. Of course except for the rare open house on a Sunday.

With my former brokerage we had 9am Monday morning meetings and on Wednesday mornings, caravan tours.  I made sure I always took Tuesdays off.  Now, I take Friday evenings for Date Night and try my utmost very best to never work on a Sunday.

It's 7 days a week for us. 

I wish, Debbie! But I did take off a few hours yesterday (finally!) and did a bit of shopping and reading.

I have always taken time when I felt I needed it....

Yes, we do take down time, did this Friday, when we went on a 4 hour whale watch cruise...I love just shutting down and enjoying life.  A

We don't usually take days off, but may sneek in a few hours now and then.

It depends on what is going on in real estate.  If things are hopping I will work it.

That's what I plan but it never works out that way. I often work seven days a week. That's ok. I love what I do. I did take one day off during the middle of last week, and that felt very strange, but nice. 

I try very hard to keep Sunday open with no client appointments.   I will always take calls.    If I don't get Sunday off, usually there is not a day off that week.

No generally we just keep going and going and going, until it looks like a good day to do something other than work.  But we do try very hard to avoid too much work onSundays.

yes and yes.... Real estate can be a stressful business. One gets burned out....

You absolutely must take some time for yourself to be able to be the best agent you can be.  Without downtime, this business can take all of you.  You have to take care of yourself to be the best agent you can be.  I believe this is true in all aspects of business, but I can only speak to what I know.

Yes.  Although I do not work every weekend, we all need down time.  The key is finding what time works for you and when you can avoid losing the most business. 

I do work on the weekends and I still do not take a full day off during the week. On 2 different days I block a few hours for me to be able to catrch up and have some "me" time

When I work on the weekends I make sure I take time off during the week to take care of me, Sometimes I will sleep in, sometimes I take bike rides or just do nothing in my jammies.

We all need a day (and preferrably two) off every week.  I work most weekends and I absolutely must take at least one day during the week to recharge.  For me is usually Friday.  That's just a day that works for me.  I spend it with my wife and daughter.  Sometimes we do yardwork and sometimes we just hang out.  Whatever we do, we do it together.  I highly recommend this!

Yes.  It doesn't always work out that way but I do try.

Everyday has some downtime for exercise, yoga, meditation, and reading.

Get someone you can count on to help you out so you can take a complete day or two off a week.

Full days off are in the category of wishful thinking for many real estate agents. Having team members to work with clients does provide a means to have more time away from the office.

I just take it when I need it...although sometimes it IS days before I can actually manage it. 

Seven days a week will burn you out.  Everyone needs some down time.
