Good morning William. I am doing my best to time block in smell the flowers time.

No, I tried to smell one today but it was not very aromatic

I do try to close my eyes, take a deep breath and be thankful for each day.  And, on those rough days, I find digging in the dirt and planting flowers relieves stress!  mmm...yes, my garden has TONS of flowers of late..lol!

I have to,  my wife has them planted everywhere!

To delight in the simple things is a gift of great value.

This past month I have sat peacefully on the patio as the sun peeks over the horizon observing a hole 35 feet high in my neighbors Oak Tree.

In it a hatching Wood Duck was taking refuge. Each morning Mamma and Pappa Duck alternately feed the baby. Yesterday morning the duckling took flight. This morning Mamma and Pappa Duck were aimlessly waddling about my front yard.

no, and that's a great error on my part....I've attempted to do that and it is just no part of my DNA.... I do smell them, but not as often as I should....

Yes but I also smell the weeds and manure.

Yes . Though my garden does not have many flowers.

Absolutely yes and right now I'm smelling the coffee.

How else can we balance out the stink William. There are luckily still plenty of flowers that can thrive out there and when they're gone you'll wish you had paid attention to them much sooner.

No but I am beginning to journal and gratitude is a part of that - maybe that will remind me to smell the flowers more often

Not always, but its defintiely something to aspire to! Each moment of each day is precious and we should remember to do just that... stop and smell the flowers!

Yes, I do.  Even literally in the summer time.  Life is fragile, you have to soak it all up.

I am guilty of not doing this. Although in the summer it's easier. I spend part of my morning before I leave for the office tending my garden. That helps put a perspective on things.
