Very bad Realtors giving us all a bad name.

Agents that dont return calls, emails etc sometime for DAYS. How can we put a deal together if I can't even show the house someone really wants to see. Either that or just overall lack of professionalism.

That buyers and sellers don't do what they say they will. The lying goes on and the lack of follow through ends up wasting our time and our time is money.

The lack of integrity on both sides of the aisle. Buyers, sellers, other agents. Welcome to the human race, I guess!

The quality of the agents needs to improve. One of the most difficult aspects of the business is having to deal with some of the agents.

Dishonesty from both the public and other Realtors.

I cant choose 1 so ill give you my top 3. The lack of follow through by loan officer and closing attorneys. Then consumers not telling the truth up front and lastly and most important agents who should not be agents as they give teh industry a bad name. 

The proliferation of unqualified agents due to a far too low bar to entry and training focused more on cya and form filling and not enough on how to actually be a good Sales agent and business person.

I agree with John McCormack  when people call at 7 am or even 8 am on a weekend and do not even think it is an imposition 

Difficult co-op agents.  They are hard to work with.  I co-op with one and the buyer had to sign 67 pages of corporate owner documents.  The co-op agents kept threating me with getting the documents back to her that night.  I informed her the buyer was working and it would be tomorrow before I got the forms back.   She said the seller was going to accept another contract.  Yes she was a bitch.  But in the end my buyer closed.

When you make an appointment to show and no one calls you to tell you they accepted another offer. Instead of calling you about your offer when it is rejected they send a text or email or do not respond at all. If someone takes the time to write you call the agent. 

When you find out that a house may be going on the market and "a dear friend" or relative will be getting the listing. These, in all likelyhood, are agents who sell the odd house but are not in it as their livelyhood.

Snobby agents!

Real Estate Agents that think Loan Officers are a dime a dozen.  I attended the bi-monthly meeting at the office and an Agent that spends a lot of her time training others, was talking about contacting Loan Officers during the weekend, and said "and if they don't answer the phone when you call, never use them again - they're a dime a dozen".

Loan Officers are like Realtors.  There's good ones and bad ones, but neither is a dime a dozen.

Agents that work for the big franchises that do not return calls...wait, I guess that holds true for small mom and pop offices that do not return calls.

Returning Calls...

Lack of communication, not responding to emails, voicemails, phone calls.

No barrier to entry. I wish the courses were much harder. And this leads to lack of professionalism, etc.

Our profession being controlled by another profession....

Ethics missing from agents, and firms.

Loyalty of clients. I hope, we'll see the buyer agency agreement to become mandatory ( where a buyer, the same as a listing agreement with a seller, can cancel, but at least, we know they want to work with someone else).

That so much of this business really is out of our control, oh and lack of feedback from agents that "Do not have the time to give feedback"
