It depends on the agent, some agents cant even handle 1 listing. In my area there are some with the most who get them because of that thought and their franchise name. You cant reach them though, done count on them to answer their phone, return a call and forget email. If you are a home owner you may see their assistants but service, you will soon ask what is that. Pick the best agent who will be there through each step of the selling process and ask that up front.

ok... call me old fashioned Ed, but i would want an agent who i dont have to hold the carrot soooo close to their nose, but thats me. i might say, "i see the real estate market is coming along, and we are thinking of selling, would you like to evaluate our home? " if they respond "call me when your ready to list" then i would know :)
