my 1959 Studebaker Lark. Had a 283 cu.in. horsehair-filled seats and rode better than most luxury cars today.

1957 Chevy Step-side with the Cameo kit (big window).
Cherry red & white interior & cherry red paint...lots of fun. Owned her for 13 years, then sold it to a collector in Belgium (so I'd never have to run into her locally and taste that regret). I welded a 1968 Chevelle front end to the frame so I had disc brakes, power steering and independent suspension. She had a 350 under the hood from the same Chevelle and I even had the oak wood kit in the bed. Uh Oh, there's that regret...

Winston Heverly I've owned several cars over the years and I like what I am driving now. My favorite as to be my first car, a 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

My first car was a French made Simca.
Standard transmission and so under powered the occupants had to rock back and forth to urge the car to the top of the next incline.
By the time the destination was reached eveyone was laughing so hard we were in a proper mood to enjoy the venue.
'Ahh, those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end."
So much fun and so little money. What has gone wrong since then?

A Renault Le Car was my first car. I spent my babysitting money on this baby. I know these cars were thought of as cheap pieces of crap. This was my first car. I didn't want it, but my grandfather helped me buy it, because he thought it would be fun to add to his foreign car fleet, and something fun to work on.
But the one I had was special. It was meant for power even for this small car. That's why my grandfather bought it. I guess it looked good next to the fiat. It also had a sunroof that took up most of the whole roof. It was a canvas top and very cool. It was like having a convertible. My car also had racing strips unstead of the LeCar lego.
So grandpa bought me this car, and he spent more time working on it then I spent driving it. I was 18 and loved the sunroof feature, but I really wanted a car that didn't spend so much time in the shop.
I ended up buying a Nissan Sentra...brand new. My grandfather co signed the loan. I never had a car problem after that.

The one I liked the most of them all was my little Triumph Spitfire convertible (and it had a hardtop as well). On the rare occasions that it was running it was wonderful!
