Susan - I would say that most of the time (probably 99%), if I take the time to read a post, I will be commenting on it. There are rare occasions where I will read a post and not provide a comment. In those instances, it's mainly like Ron and Alexandra Seigel said, the post is just on a different wave length and I really don't have anything to say.

Susan,
The only time I don't comment is when the post is on a different wave length than mine. Those are usually the ones bitching and moaning about the incompetence of other agents while lauding their personal perfection, and I click away without finishing the post. They are entitled to bitching and moaning, I am just not interested. I try to comment on all the commenters as well as the ones I follow. Often I do many more than 20, if time is on my side. A

Susan- if I'm short on time and the post has a good amount of comments, I might not comment. And as Ron and Alexandra Seigel said, i might not comment if it turned out to be a rant or topic that didn't appeal to me. Sometimes I don't leave a comment because I have nothing I can add.

Susan, I only wish I had more time to comment on more posts. I will first comment on everyone who's commented on my posts from the day before and if I have some time left, I will do my best.

Hi Susan, it depends on the topic and if the person who wrote the blog did so in such a way that it was engaging. Poorly written blogs and can be difficult for me to respond to. But that's just me.

Sometimes I read and have nothing to add to the conversation; sometimes I read and would have nothing positive to say so I stay silent; sometimes I read and feel by the end of the post it was a worthless, stupid, badly written post; and sometimes I read and just like the post.

Susan Emo usually I comment on the posts that I read, rarely I have not commented on the posts that I read.

I'm working very hard on being positive and not saying anything negative. So, if I read a post and I feel a negative comment coming from my finger tips--I will just hit the back space button!

If I read, what follows naturally is a comment with very few exceptions

Hi Susan,
I was wondering about the same thing. I recently had a post that got a lot of traffic and was on the AR home page because of the traffic but it mostly just got clicks and not many comments or likes at all. I do realize I don't always comment but like some others have said, it might not have anything to add to the conversation. But I will certainly keep this in mind going forward; saying something is much more helpful than nothing at all.

Sorry, but if a blog does not peak my interest enough to read the whole thing, I am not going to leave any comment just to make the blogger feel good.
My job is not therapy.

I almost always do post a comment, if I have the time or inspiration to add something to the conversation. I rarely comment with a short "Nice post". I might just "like" the post and not comment. I try to add something worthwhile... or at least my perspective on a subject. There have been a few occasions where I have started to compose a comment, and couldn't quite figure out a tactful way of addressing the subject without offending the poster, so I delete it and move on. LOL
