I met my bride while she was temping at my Bay Area Office. Years later she became my assistant when I was launching San Diego and for 4 years she worked pretty well with me, but she didn't like the  real estate industry; she said (other) Realtors were too rude  so she left and went to Virgin America. Since then I've hired college students to assist and it works out quite well. I miss having my bride at work, but she doesn't miss real estate.

No and have offered since she retired but the TV and FB take up to much of her time!

My husband was a scientist.  He never would have survived the real estate business but he was very supportive of my crazy schedule.   He happily retired to golf and skiing and playing with his cars.  Sadly, he passed away 4 years ago.  I miss him!

No but he was in the 1990's but now is in a related business of home building and and commercial construction.

Not yet, but that is his "plan B" and mine - will be a big help when the day comes.

I'm not married.  My boyfriend lives as a real estate agent vicariously through me . . . with all my daily details.

My husband is a broker and we have been in business together.  But he has moved on to a different job he loves.

Yes, and we have well defined work areas. There are things I do, things she does and things we work out together.  She's a tremendous asset and it took a while to work out our systems, but we have it down to a science now.

Not really. My husband does not practice real estate but he is really good at putting up Open House signs!

Mine does some real estate on the side. If you watch the movie "Everything Must Go" (streaming who knows where) you'll see Will Farrell pull her sign out of the yard. She'll get a sign call from some joker every now and then.

Yup.  We are full time partners and have been for 7 years.  We have home offices and private offices at F.C. Tucker.  

I learned quickly that sometimes, Amanda doesn't need me to fix her problems, she just needs me to listen.  

I also learned that her deals were hers, mine were mine, and we each learned to respect who's in the lead in different situations.  

It's not easy.  Not even a little bit.  But it works perfectly for us and our clients.  Mutual respect.
