I'm seeing this question more and more in the past week or so.  There must be some kind of slowdown and for those of us that are still riding a wave of business this is a heads up to either get on the phone of get there more often.

Thankfully we're still full on in our area.

No, our business continues to crank.

Not yet, but the heat wave we've had lately has slowed things down a bit.

Not in our market.  It is still as hot as the temperatures.

Our market tends to pickup after school has started after our Labour Day (which is on the same day as your Labor Day).  However, the market is still quite active, still very hot and there are still numerous listings that have multiple offers.

Good morning Debbie. Folks that have younger children would certainly be a segment of the market that may not be home searching this time of year.

 Good Friday morning Debbie. It seemed as if the last two days of this month have really slowed down. We still have plenty of work on the books for next week.

There did seem to be a surge back in May, but it's still good now. Especially since I have different niches including commercial and in two states.

Not yet. It is still very tight here with the housing inventory, a lot of buyers are waiting for that promised ''slow down'':)

Debbie - This is always about the time of season that our market tends to slow down. Some of our kids are already back into school, and have been for a couple of weeks.

Plus, nobody likes to shop for homes when it is 110 degrees out, if they don't have to.

Yes, market has cooled off here - some cyclical but I'm sure that is entirely it - thinking we may be in a shift.

First 3 weeks were slow in July, but, this last week has picked up

It's been quieter, Debbie Reynolds ... on the professional front and with the clients too.  Lots of people wrapping up summer at this point and getting ready for a new school year.  Combine that with high temps and humidity .. and it's taken a small toll.

The opposite actually.  Our Spring market was NUTS.  Homes were flying off the shelves.  July 1 hit and everything slowed down.  We still sold a good number of homes in July, but nothing like early Spring.  The last week of July is when things started picking up again.  And now it's nuts again.  I think between the two of us we sold four or five this week!  Zero complaints.  

Not yet, but it does create a lull in the suburban markets. Since out inventory seems to go down by double digits the last 4 months it's a wonder we have anything left to sell.

Not seeing it here in Destin. Tis the season and has been very active. Not Complaining!!

High end is shifting in both sales and rentals but under $2M still flying off the shelf.

Your observation is perfect Debbie Reynolds - I do see that happening in our market area, too.

Getting ready for school does not slow down our market.

However, August is a popular time for vacations in our area.

 Proper pricing and presentation along with availability to show/sell continue to draw buyers' attentions in our market.  

no, we've been fairly busy with new business.... listings are pending.... new ones coming in.... and land calls are steady....
