I do not tell them! I do not think that is my responsibility.

Unless you've been asked for your opinion, I suggest you not mention it at all.

Never. It really doesn't matter to me so I wouldn't insult them or feel like it was my place to straightened them out.

If it is a man and I know him, I'll probably rib him about it in a friendly way.
If it's a woman -- you just don't.

I don't believe that you would tell them something that they don't already know. Thus, if they dont mind, I don't either. Imagine going up to someone and critiquing them. There has to be a good reason...with good being obvious

Paul, I wouldn't say anything unless asked. It is a personal decision on their part to change it or not, if they are comfortable with it then that must be the way they want it. Some things might be better left unsaid.

Paul,
Like their first communion picture? Hmm! I don't say anything, just smile. We have an agent here who is older, and her picture must be from her wedding album...she is an excellent agent and tops in her production ##'s the envy of many.. So what? We all have some bit of vanity in us. A

Good Tuesday morning Paul. I look at some photos and look at the person and think to myself, this glamour shot was taken about 20 years ago. To me, I think it's false advertising. Too many people are too vain to change their photo.

Unless they work for me in my brokerage and put out the wrong image , so to speak, it's non of my business. People are so self-conscious about the way they look, I wouldn't want to rob them of their self-image.

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington I just LOVE how you phrased that! And I agree that it is horrible for them to be laughed at because of the outdated photo. I think it should be mandatory to have a new photo every 2 or 3 years.

I was at a showing once that the listing agent was to let us in; they got out of the car and went into the house and after about ten minutes I knocked and she answered and asked why I didn't come in then!
My response because I was looking for the lady on the sign!
Needless to say I ise a little more tack now.

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington This is a tough one to answer. You don't want to hurt the person's feelings. I would stand up to the ones going behind this person's back.

Oudated photographs are common on real estate cards. It is not my job to tell those people anything. They know that the pictures are are outdated without my advice.

One probably doesn't tell... Most likely the agent is quite aware, just holding on to the younger self.

I don't. Interestingly, when people hand me a card with an outdated photo, most of the time they know it and say something about it being outdated themselves.

Good morning Paul. I wrote about this topic recently, it is pretty funny sometimes. It will depend on if they matter to me, if I let them know they should update a photo.

Paul - Boy that's a good one, and you see this all the time, but I probably wouldn't say anything. They already know.
I once met a home warrant rep and thought to myself, who is this lady? Her photo on her business card that I had seen way before I ever met her made her look 30 years younger.

Like others have said, I would not tell them unless they asked. Their business card is there thing to figure out.
