This sounds like an oxymoron to me. I don't understand the question.
Never.....they have been cultivated and nurtured by me. I would never 'give up control.'
As the broker/owner of my company, I regularly give my agents leads and yes, a lot of times it is to close more business, but also to grow the agents' business and free me up for other business, like commercial transactions.
Chris - If my business was so busy that I couldn't help everyone, I would have to give up something. I don't think just because you hire additional staff to either help get the transaction to close, or call on leads, that you have to give up control. They could still represent you and your business model, your goals and ideals, and the process you set up based on your previous success.

Chris, how would giving up control of my own leads close more business? I don't see that has happening so I am having a hard time answering this question. But I tend to say... I don't believe it so.. no.
I do it all the time, I generate most of them and share them with my people who run around helping the people to find what they need.
No I would have to oversee both ends of the business.
