I am very old fashioned. I prefer voice to voice where there is far less room for miscommunication. I do like email because you can keep it in your files and use it for reference and accountability. I do not enjoy text but do it with those who prefer that mode of communication.

my preffered way to communicate is through all of them, especially texts to have a one on one conversations. Now if its business realted then more than likely strictly emails and texts behind the scenes...

Years ago I recieved some very sound advice from a sales manager "you must dance to the music the customer is playing" and I think this applies here, however I believe the truly great salespeople "write" the music that attracts the clients they wish to dance with, meaning that you are the professional and need to teach your clients how you will correspond, personally I think in person is best, texting is okay for quick messages, and email for the paper trail as Richie Alan Naggar said.

Email seems to be the best for me as it allows me to communicate during the crazy hours I work. Not sure if someone wants a phone call at 3am when I think of a great idea but an email can just sit there on their computer until morning.

I try to meet people in person first but it seems more often than not most people are too busy to take a time out for coffee, (i guess I'm a little old school) so it  turns out that e-mail is the best for most.  Even texting isn't really required anymore, why do that that when you can email on your phone!
