I do not think, you can answer anonymously. You can ask a Q only.
In any case, I vote for Realtors. I can deal with clients, I'm hired to do so, but dealing with some agents.......can be oh so unnecessary unbearable:)

While we all think it is someone else...I believe we all have our moments.
Make it a great week. Mark

I dont think any questions or answers should be allowed to be asked or answered anonymously. To answer the question, in any given week you can meet someone form any of those groups. The good thing is there are many more nice people than not so nice.

I would say real estate attorneys . I find the attorneys get so absorbed in responding to the other side that they sometimes forget the clients the represent and the process. For example I have seen attorney review letters go back and forth so many times right up to day if closing . I say this behavior has got to stop .

Self-absorbed: adj meaning preoccupied with one's thoughts, interests, etc.
Is a buyer walking into a new chapter in their lives preoccupied with their thoughts, interests, uncertainty..ect...
Is a sell walking into a new chapter and closing the last chapter preoccupied with their thoughts, interests, loss of society, challenge of facing the unknown..:
I would think it a erroneous effort to place a 'most' banner on either the buyer, or seller or the temptation to put the agent in the cross hairs.
The reality may be the label applies best based on the level of the responders own self absorbed condition.
Signed,
Annette Lawrence

Good Saturday morning Nancy. I would love to give you an honest answer. I do know a lot of folks who think that they hung the sun and moon.

The most self-absorbed? Real estate agents for sure. I don't understand where the attitude comes from, but it's really unattractive.

Brokers! HA, Everytime I meet one they tell me several times that they are a Broker, I count it everytime! LOL , Once they get to three, I move on. I get a kick out of it. this happens at socials all the time, I have counted 8 all within minutes!
"I am the Broker"
"As the Broker"
"When I became A Broker"
"I am the broker owner"
"There are 15 agents at my office and I am the Broker" / When verified they have 5 and that includes the broker!

I don't know which of the three is more self absorbed. But I would rather deal with a buyer or seller than another Realtor any day!

me... just me. i have a ego the size of texas. :) im not sure, i dont think there is a generalization you could make. IF I HAD TO SAY, after me me me...it might be sellers

My seller had to be reminded about what the buyer is thinking, the buyers agent and other misc. The buyers agent had to be told that other people are inquiring so be realistic if you want this done. The buyer had to be told, look, when you move in, make all your dream repairs. The seller is NOT doing everything...Everyone needs a nudge, bucket of water and sometimes a slap

Depends on the person and their personality. I find myself correcting other agents a lot when they say "MY listing, My deal"..."you mean, the listing you represent, unless are you the sellers also?" I never forget, this is not "my deal" rather I represent clients, it is their deal and they may be as "self absorded" as they want to me, the agents should not. It should not be about us, but our clients we represent.

It all depends on the personality and of generalize is unfair to our clients, but my dear friends Jill Murty, Realtor - Serving Orange County, CA and Inna Ivchenko were spot on.
