Work them through as they come in, I'll check my email at least every 15 minuets. Most emails can be answered with just a quick one line email and you are done.

much is spam, but those who write one thought on many emails are an annoyance....I communicate and ask if thoughts can be collected and one email sent once a day....or twice if necessary!!!

Depends on the nature of the email.  Some are deleted, some are simply filed, some are read and processed, some are delegated, some are fowarded, some are blocked, some are reported as spam, some are unsubscribed.

Good morning Chris. I handle my emails twice a day, I end up blocking anything that is junk and reducing the quantity as much as possible.

The trick is to use filters to assign your emails into different folders.  Some that need immediate attention and others you can glance at then delete.

How do I handle it? One at a time.

I use the redirect to folders for stuff coming from sources I know I will never read such as RIS Meida and Trulia.

Using the same tool, if a match to an existing email address in address book, this is redirected to RED folder.

Do not unsubcribe or report as spam. Such action validates your address and it become more valuable in the list buying community.

I read recently that on average we receive 240 emails daily. I'm very fast in deleting and unsubscribing. They pile up so fast and google storage is limited.

one at a time and with purpose.  If it's spam it gets marked as such. And I fortunately have folders set up with rules that sort what needs attention first when it comes to leads from my website.

I have a good list of automated rules so rarely get any spam in my inbox. My rules also automatically send newsletters I like and other reading material to a folder I check whenever I have some time for reading.

Skim through it, grab what is important, interesting or urgent and ignore the rest.

It has been a while since I have only had 100 per day, I need to do something about it.

I hit the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email (if they comply with the anti spam laws).  It is irritating how many email (spam) lists that Realtors get on without signing up.  Some of the email services have universal blacklists - if you contact them they will blacklist your email across all of their accounts.  A handy trick if your getting mass emails from multiple mail chimp accounts that you never signed up for.

Quickly delete all of the unneeded messages, repond to those that need action and record your actions on the contact records in your database.

Don't let the email list get out of control. Your email should not be serving as your database.
