my blog posts are written whenever I have a thought that I think is worthy of a post.... some are not worthy but I feel like writing anyway....and those are usually the most popular ones!!! figure that one out.... :)

I write a lot of market reports because they have made the phone ring but I also like to mix it up a bit(at least once a week) with something different and because market reports can be a bit(yawn) dry for many.   

I like routine so I like to have a post scheduled to post early in the morning and occassionally twice in a day when an idea strikes.

One a day typically, although I may have to make an exception today.  The 1st of the month is market snapshot post (done).  Tuesdays are Ask An Ambassador post day for us, so we have two obligations on the same day.

We have recently changed.  Now, Dick researches for 3 days then takes 2 days to write it.  After that I go in and make my changes, add pictures and links and publish all over the net.  We are now doing one 3,000 word blog a week.  Unfortunately, ActiveRain is not set up for longer blogs so the past few weeks has been taking longer than it should to get around the problems that are not getting fixed.

The blogs are either feature story/interview style of informative, fact driven blogs with a certain number of small facts so the audience can digest the info. The same, as well - we stock pile and schedule postings.

Stockpile is a good idea!  I write them as I think of them, or when I have time.  I get them out there right away, before they are washed away in the tides of my mind.

Some posts are written on a current basis, others are written in advance for regular recurring types of events, templates are written as I think up new ideas and then modify for a specific situation.

I love doing that as some days i have mor etime and more ideas. I can type them, save them and even schedule them. Other than that i keep a notebook of ideas when they come to me

So far I don't have a style.  My blogs have been about my listings/open houses (for the most part).  I do mostly Q&As and those I try to space out.  I have one ready to ask, but I'm waiting for my last one to be done drawing answers.  Usually takes a couple days.

 Too often a post is spur of the moment, and with so much going on, there have few spurs.  I have several projects under way, and have not been successful in getting the day stretched to thirty hours.  I have switched emphasis to reading more of what others have to say, and then participate in the comments.  It is like going out to eat at a smorgasboard.

Same here-- by having a stockpile of entries, I don't have to worry about scrambling to catch up if we fall behind for any reason (sickness, travel, etc.)

Of course this still leaves me free to write-up a blog on any breaking news I think would be interesting to my clients or peers.

That's a great plan. I need to make time to do that. I mainly write something at the end of the day...each day. I have had draft posts sitting and waiting, and that's a nice feeling to know you have something ready to go when you need it.
