a dog person.... the last cat I had was one that I dissected in comparative vertebrate anatomy class in college.... that hormone fed feline was outrageously large....I had to learn every muscle, origin and insertion plus the action of the muscle.... loved that course....

Have been a dog person all my life, till just of a year ago now.  My wife brought home this kitten and we just hit it off.

Thouhgt you could never teach a cat a trick/behavior.  Well, this cat (Hidy) has proved me wrong.  We have this little furry thing with a bell on it, she likes to carry around and play with.  She has learned that if she drops it in a box near my feet, I will throw it for her to chase.

A friend say she has taught me a new behavior, not the other way around.

I love both, and grew up w/ both.  But, I'm prob. a bit more of a cat person.  They are more challenging, so you know they really mean it when they show affection.  Plus, I love the purring.

I love both, but I use to think I was more of a dog person. I might actually be 49% dog person and 51% cat person.

I am a cat person, hands down!  I love that they are independent and can mostly care for themelves.  I don't ever have to run home to let them out in fear they'll potty in their crate or my house.

Neither. My family had pets when I was young and I had several dogs during my youth.

We now have a pet free home.

Captain Wayne - I have always been a dog person. They just seem to show more love than cats, and they actually get excited when they see you. Some cats will just ignore you no matter what.
