Labor On

I'm not working and I'm laying on a warm, sunny beach on Cape Cod....

I am relaxing @my pool and giving swim lessons to one of my employees kids.

 Good Friday morning Bob. Most likely, I will spend some time working in the business as some of the reports need to be revamped. I will take Monday off.

This year, I am not doing anything specific to celebrate American labor for the American Labor Day weekend or Canadian labour for the Canadian Labour Day weekend.  Both occur on the same day and, of course, the only difference is the spelling since we Canadians like to do more labour to put the "u" in labour, colour, honour, neighbour etc.

Many families in Ontario do spend the time finalizing getting their kids ready for the start of school which starts on the Tuesday after Labour Day.  Some people go to the cottage or visit our friendly neighbours to the south (or west if near Alaska).

Labour Day is the last day for the annual Canadian National Exhibition ("CNE") which has been held in Toronto since 1879.

There is also the Labour Day Parade which starts in downtown Toronto and ends inside the CNE.

I Hope to celebrate Labor by not laboring and watching a few football games and working around the home.

Doing what it says and laboring away on the business. I'll take my time off when I need it.

I work tomorrow (Saturday),  but take off every Sunday and will enjoy this Labor Day Monday off as well. Monday, I will be on a hike from my home to La Jolla Shores with my dog, Peroni and catching up on some reading. Unfortunately, I'm on my own this weekend; my son is away at college and my bride works for Virgin America as an in-flight team leader and will be flying across our beautiful country. But Peroni & I can handle the relaxation on our own!

Good morning Bob. I do plan on some labor, two celebrations at our home, starting this eventing and a trip to the Woodstock Fair at some point over this weekend.

Down south in the heat.and I'm not complaining

Taking some time off to prepare for Lollipops for Literacy, enjoying time with my children and husband.  Doing a loving labor of cleaning the basement after a drain burst and deposited a lot of water all over the basement.

I'm planning on attending a Home and Garden show and do some much needed catching up!

Focusing on the upcoming  projects we have, and then a walk on the beach on Monday, as the vacationers and crowds are on their way home.  We will also be at our yoga class that day, like every Monday.  A

A walk-through and a couple of client meetings -- I'm open for business.

Catering two clam bakes and Monday will be the solitude of the boat on the lake!
