In the office.

Watching the tv in my office waiting for a new hire to show up.  And wondering why Bryant Gumbel did not recognize it a a terrorist attack right away.

Heading out the door to go to Vegas for 2 whole weeks.  We got out on the first plane out of Tampa 3 days later.  Vegas was a ghost town.

I was in Carmel-by-the-Sea and watched the stunned tourists from all over the world talking in small huddles. No one could leave since airports were closed. Traffic was pretty much stopped in town. No one did any business. Everyone wanted to be with other people. It was very quiet and somber everywhere.

At the time I was the project manager working to computerize the City of Houston Health department. They had never used computers and generated over 10 million pieces of paper a year. After a couple of years of preparation we were having our kickoff meeting, ready to head to the first clinic for implementation. We got called down to the director’s office to watch on a small TV. Never forget it.

Sleeping.  When I woke up my husband was watching the news.  We were both glued to the TV news for days!

honestly , i try not to think of it or speak of it. the horror astonishes me.

I am a full time teacher (part time Realtor). At the time, I was in front of a class full of seventh graders I had known for only about a week. I checked the weather on the computer and saw it said "Smoky." 

A student who was in that class contacted me yesterday and told me that his memory of 9/11 is linked to me and how I cried when I told them what happened.

It was very early our time.  I was home, having coffee and watching the news.

 Good Saturday morning Ginger. I was working on my business plan as I had just incorporated.

I was just getting ready to go to an exercize class at the YMCA!

I was driving to work in Houston.

I was getting ready to leave for the office and saw it on TV. The news media was so confused and since I didn't have an appointment I just sat down and watched.

I was getting gas at a Flying J truck stop in north Georgia.

I was at work.  Someone walked in and said that an airplane had hit the World Trade Center.  We thought it must have been a small private airplane and surely an accident.  We soon learned differently.

Working at an office network and we were really confused.

High school music class. Freshman year.

I had just turned on the TV to catch the moring neews.

I was at the office. An associate called and told me to turn on the TV. I saw the second plane hit.

We just returned from a day trip. The American Flag was being waved from overpasses.
