Need to become a rainmaker, and change your posts to "public" for others to read your posts.

It has to be a public post for the public to see it. Either change the status of the post or get your clients to sign up for AR.

Jeffrey,
The free version of ActiveRain is 'member's only'. In order to share content with anyone, you have to have a Rainmaker upgraded membership. Otherwise, as you are running into, someone must have an ActiveRain account in order to view the content.

There are also two buttons on the upper right corner of your AR blog. One says 'email' and the other says 'short url'. Click on the email button to send a link to your client or click the short url button to get a shorter like that can be copied and pasted into an email. Hope that helps :)
PS - read your article and now I am itching... yuck... ticks... lol.. good article ;)

Good morning Jeff. Unless they are a member of AR, you can't send a link, you will need to cut and paste in order to send the content.

Since you are a RainMaker, simply make your post public.
If you make your post "members only", your recipient will need to create their own account in order to read the post.

Good when she morning Jeffrey. I do not understand the reason you are having this problem. I would contact the leadership at active rain.

I send links out all the time and haven't had a problem. It sounds like you are getting some help with this problem. I hope it gets figured out soon.

Go to your specific blog post and copy the web address at the top of the page. Then paste it into an email (or whatever communication) and send to your client. Like here is a link to your Tick-Tick post:
http://activerain.com/blogsview/4681535/tick-tick-stick
It doesn't come out as a clickable link here, but it should via email.
