They all will be good for the real estate industry.

Their actions may change how real estate is bought and sold, but the transactions will occur.

Now, to be frank, I am not sure how a flat tax or consumption based tax will effect the real estate business. but what ever the cost, I would love to wave 'bye-bye' to the IRS.

It maybe easier to tell you who will not be good for not just real estate but our entire economy. You can not give away 18 trillion dollars of "free" everything and expect those who are working to give more of what they earn to those who are not working to pay for it.

Good morning Bob. I'm still not sure, I like a few of the candidates on the Republican side, that keep mentioning how we need less regulations and Government involvement. I don't hear the same kind of message coming from anyone on the other side.

Make it a great weekend!

In general, someone who is business friendly and puts focus on opening doors to achievement, not dependence.  Someone who values hard work, personal responsibility, ethics and integrity.  Someone who inspires people to respect themselves and others and have pride in a job well done.

That would be good and not just for real estate.

I like Chris Christie.... he gets the job done.... he covers his butt (usually) ...he's a little "dirty" but sometimes that's what it takes to get from point A to point B.... it's part of his DNA....it's instinctive.... he's a leader.... he should never have had the lap band....needed the vertical sleeve....he's losing an ounce a week.... he'll be dead before the election, at the pace he needs to keep....

We will not be able to answer this question, because they always puff and lie while on the campaign trail. Just hope a candidate with successful, entrepreneurial experience nails it.

Yeah, no sure yet.  No one sticks out as being a premier candidate - although I would think Trump may emerge as a front runner in this area.

Unfortunately, I feel the answer is none of them.  I have a very negative opinion of all our politicians. And it is not completeely their fault  -- our system is developing major flaws.

I lean toward a "lift the entire economy" philosophy. I like Robert Reich's take and Bernie Sanders. Agree that hard work is the key to personal economic success, but if you're stuck in a crappy school, can't access higher education, affordable medical or child care, almost doesn't matter how hard you work, you're set up for failure.

I believe local elected officials affect real estate much more than nationally elected officials. County Councils, Supervisors, School Boards - their decisions affect real estate values through setting local taxes, school quality, transportation policy, real estate and business development policy, etc.

Personally, I spend most of my political energy on schools and issues that affect the elderly in my immediate neighborhood.

Not 100% sure who I'll be voting for in the national elections, but I know who I want on our next County Board of Supervisors and School Board.

It isn't so much who would be good as much as who would have the least detrimental effect on the industry. Donald Trump understands real estate more so than all other candidates combined. The answer is clear.

I do not have a good answer for your question. Too little attention is being given to the factors that will encourage home ownership.
