we don't show homes in the dark, so there will be less time to schedule showings.... 

the buyers that work during the week will be only able to see fewer properties after their work during a week which means more showings on weekends

Praful- this doesn't impact me as much as it does agents.  I've provided consultations in the evening to accommodate the sellers, but it's hard to see the curb appeal and back yard when it's dark.

Yes, it makes it harder for us to do evening appts (as it's better to look at samples when there is light out), and can't call people as late to follow up.

You would think that it would affect evening showings, but it really doesn't. I know last year, I wrote many a contract after a one-time showing at night.

Usually I suggest to my clients, when possible to do a "drive by" in advance of the showing, when we know we can only see the interior at night.

In a low-inventory market, you have to do what you can do, or lose the home to another buyer.

I do not show property in the dark very often.  Once in the past year I had to turn on the flashlight on my phone to get to the car.  Vacant home so I couldn't leave the lights on to see outside.

I will likely be ending my work day a little sooner in November and December.  Taking some vacation time then too.  We will be busy again in January.

Probably not. We deal with folks all around the country, so it's easy to coordinate with clients. Happy Fall!

There will be more home showings during darker hours and it is a good time to make personal safety an even higher concern.

Very little impact.

Showing homes on Saturday starting at noon, and they have LOTS of homes on their list.   I told them we should be finished by 7, as it gets dark, and harder to see the neighborhoods.

Always a challenge to get everything done before dark and sometimes it's a long hike out of the woods in the dark
