I'm typically a regular check-in kinda guy.  

Actually, I'm about to leave for a 2-week trip to Russia to visit my sisters. That's 24 hours plus of travel each way. That's an 8 hour time difference. I can run my business the next two weeks off my phone and tablet. I spend 2 hours each morning catching up and watch email messages throughout the day.

I NEVER check in with business. If it were not for my blogging, I wouldn't even bring a Netbook. I leave my team in charge and I unplug. Working from a hotel is not a vacation. I have my first check inwith my business & team the day after I return. My blogging isn't work, I enjoy it as part of my Miracle Morning routine, while I await the rise of my bride...she sleep a lot later than I on vacation.

It all comes down to hiring the right people I've found. If you take the extra time to hire and train right you can be gone for weeks with minimal work. Just a few emails here and there, but the team will take care of it.

Yes, I do have technology and preparedness for the business to be on auto-pilot.

I'm constantly checking on my business when away.  Our smart phones keep us in touch with the real estate business at all times.

Depending on what's in process I can usually leave my team to handle everything and am just on call for the tricky stuff while vacationing.

in the morning  and noon , i case need to help with some fire deals.

We just got back from a weekend in Denver.  It was a family affair, with a bit of biz thrown in.  I checked a few times a day, and spent 1/2 of an hour taking care of things in the biz center.  A

Number one, I have not taken a vacation in many years.  IF or when I did, I would check in about the same as I did when I am at work.   I do make sure an agent is covering my business while I am away, if or when I get away that is.  Something I need to work on in the future.

Too much unless we go wilderness camping with NO connection or out of the country.

It really depends on what is going on. Typically, I do check in once in the morning and once at night. That is when a good team comes into play. 

It depends on what is going on. I don’t need to check up on my broker associate who covers for me, she is fail safe.

But clients may need a call or email to keep them happy.

On those rare occasions when I get the chance to go on vacation, I typically just check once a day.

Three times a day if business was in progress when I hit the road.

One time daily if business in handled.

I don't want to come back to surprises.

I check once a day on my email and voice mail.

I check once a day. If I am out of the country I don't check at all for a few days and let the person handling it keep it in the road. I do trust the person to handle anything that arises.

For me its not that I dont trust my team because I have the greatest and smartest people but my drive and dedication will not let me stop even when on vacation.

When on vacation, I usually check email messages in the morning and then in the evening.

I check on my business no matter where I am and I fully expect that all of my team members do, also....and they do....no one misses a beat....

Henderson, Realtor, Tacoma Washington I'm not sure that we really ever take vacations any more.  We did spend a couple of months in the UK, and would check in every afternoon (London time)  with the team (morning Phoenix time) using our VoIP phones we had taken with us.  Email monitored at least once per day.
