Patricia - We typically don't have to worry too much about the weather here. About 330 days out of the year it will be sunny with blue skies.

Most of the year, I don't pay any attention to the weather. During the winter, though, I do -- if there is snow/ice predicted, I'll postpone showings or open houses. Everything is just too far here to be able to always make it.

None.
It rains. Then it stops.
Everyday.
However I do keep supplies in the boot to protect the homeowners property in the event the prospect arrives with wet shoes.

Some- it depends on property. I canceled a showing last Saturday for 20 acre mountain lot becaue it's too dangerous walking on wet rocks and wet leaves. I have seen Open Houses get canceled due to bad weather, and I have canceled one of my Open Houses because of bad weather. It's hard to get a good look at exterior and yard when it's pouring rain.

Good Wednesday morning Patricia. I really can't answer that question. I think in this area they are scheduled and the weather happens.

If the weather is good, not much attention. However, if poor weather is planned, I take a closer look and plan accordingly.

Unless there is a hurricane close by (rare) you don't have to worry about that down here. Everyone knows during summer between 2-5 you can expect a rain shower so thats the rule.

Patricia,
Our snow usually just lasts a day so if at all possible I will postpone showings until the front has gone through and the streets have been sanded.

Good morning Patricia,
I pay attention more so when listing properties, I want to make sure the ski is blue with some clouds in the back ground.

Depends on the house! I'm doing one this weekend, when it's supposed to be in the high 80s and low 90s in a city not known for having air conditioners! Let's just say, my advertising is taking advantage of the brand new A/C!
If it's going to be a wet day, I won't do them. People want to stay in on rainy days.

Not soooo much...but then we do very few opens...by comparison to many agents. I guess if you are a buyer coming out in a snow storm...you REALLY want a house !

Hi Pat -- we don't have the same type of severe weather conditions that exist in many parts of the country. On those rare occasions when it rains -- I have had some pretty good results at open house events.

Patricia Kennedy for open house, yes, I do check the weather. And for other appointments, if they are too far, I usually do not.
If really it's bad weather, we can cancel it later.

If you are planning your open houses in advance, the weather conditions can change. In our area, winter weather conditions can create complications.
