play it by ear even though I really try to time block

My days are planned out and yes I do have a routine that I like but I am flexible!

Good morning Captain Wayne.  2 hours of blogging and comments and then my workout and done before 7 AM.

 Good Wednesday morning Capt. Wayne. I rarely play the day by ear.

Part of my day is routine and part can change minute by minute.  The mix depends on the specific day.

Captain Wayne - I typically try to know what I am doing each day, but it depends a lot on whether I have a buyer client, seller client, transaction in process, or have nothing going on, and need to work on my marketing to generate more business.

I have a TO DO list for every day. My early mornings are the most productive with contracts; my late afteroons and evenings for research; late mornings and afternoons for going to meetings.

I am careful about routines as they can turn into habits. Eyes open here

I plan each day ...... The phone rings and things change usually change instantly.

I start each day with a routine -- I'm usually up by 6, and I spend a few hours answering emails,following up on anything that can be done electronically, checking new/changed MLS listings, commenting/blogging on ActiveRain, checking facebook. Then if it's a workout day, I go for a run or walk, and then the rest of the day is dependent upon meetings/appointments/goals/etc.   

I have a work plan for the month, week and day and except for an emergency stick to it.

every one of my days has a specific routine....and my day ALWAYS STARTS WITH A 5:15 am WORKOUT AT THE YMCA.... then my workday begins at 7:00am in the office....I've been here for over an hour already.... 

Just play it by ear.  As the day progresses it changes and I'm ready regardless

I have a "quasi" routine.... mornings pretty routinized, afternoons not so much.

yes and no. Priorities are reset first thing....

Service people are my bottle necks. Often delayed. Some don't even show up.... I did his job....

I have a to do list, it helps me stay on track and get things done. 

Normally our appointments vary.  Some days we have listing appointments, showings, closings, inspections, etc.  

We always have to be flexible.  

The only thing that is certain every work day is setting aside one solid hour for lead generation and touching our database. 

I like routines, I think once you built one into a habit it allowes you to get more done every single day.

Captain Wayne - Rowlett Real Estate School usually, I do have most of my time blocked and yes, do have fillers. I intend to plan ahead and that helps.

Too much routine and too much of a dull life. I need to make some changes!

A well planned day is likely to yield great results.

A routine is very important but I find flexibility is key.
