Some of my most effective networking has been with chamber of commerce and builders association committees and leadership positions.

Well managed networking groups can be very effective. However, the Lions Club, Rotary or other civic organizations may provide many of the same benefits.

Good morning Anna. I have been part of a BNI group for 18 years. No one gives out more referral that I do. Joined a second group a couple of years ago, same thing.

I consider my networking groups my second largest client.

yes, but it's unofficial.  It's basically just a group of friends who happen to be able to send each other business.

Sounds ilke a good start because you are gathering people you already work with and trust. I tried several of these but the group was so random - just whomever the organizer could get to the table --- not my basis for awarding my business. In our world, with not getting paid until close, those involved in the transaction with you had bettter be good!
