Sounds pretty specific! I do believe we have a duty to police ourselves but I've not ever heard a real estate ad on the radio. Just not something that is done in our area. For the most part though, I keep my head down and eyes on my own paper!

Since I am usually driving, No. Further, if I tune in the radio, I switch channels when an ad is aired.

I rarely get through a whole commercial before I change the station, but I see your point about violators.

Haven't heard any real estate ads on radio, but mostly on NPR or listenning to CD's in the car.

We need to get realtors and loan officers list their license on AR before you complain about other irregulairities...

I would not, it be a waste of my time. If they don't know those kind of simple laws I am sure they will get in trouble for something bigger all by themselves down the road.

Based on only the items you listed (without further detail) I would not.
- failure to mention broker name
- contradicts MLS
However I would make every effort to measure the results they are experiencing from such effort.

While I haven't heard the radio ads. I have encountered listings that are listed by an agent that is clearly involved personally and not disclosed in the mls, it becomes crystal clear during negotiations and while this is clearly an issue, usually I am too busy to police others.

Tony and Suzanne Marriott as much as I'd like to 'expose' them, sometimes it's not worth our time.

I haven't run into that here. I'd probably not take the time to report it though.

I haven't listened to the radio in ages. Even then I turn the station when a commerical comes on (which is all too frequent). Can't say I've ever heard or paid attention to a realtor's commerical on the radio. Sorry.
Not sure if I'd report them, depends on the infraction. Not giving their BRE/DRE number... eh, probably not. False or misleading info... definitely.

No...they may be on a learning curve. I let someone know one day and they argued. I simply said...you are in violation. Look into this. They did and corrected it...

Just let it be known that the whistle blower usual gets the blunt of any repercussions when reporting. I reported an agent team one time, I filled out 2 hours of paperwork and in the end the team got a slap on the wrist and I got nothing and I lost the most...

I am sure if you informed the radio station of the error, they would pull it. They do not want to be in the middle of a licensing violation.

I haven't heard a violation like this but if I did I would report it.

No, we are to involved taking care of our clients to be concerned with something that does not effect our business. I like the others would have switch the channel.

No. The local boards have committees that watch for these violations.
You could spend full time reporting agents in our large market.

I am only in competition with myself, what others do does not matter to me, and reporting them would seem petty and against the golden rule.

Seems like the consensus here is that most ignore, and do not report the violations, and leave the policing to the DRE and the boards - which is probably the most sensible way to deal with it.
