Yep no mail and no banking but all city workers and schools are open here.

Yes, I did know. Virtually never go to the bank (that's my husband's job), so not sure if they are open today. In any event, I'm overseas right now, so none of it makes a bit of difference to me personally.

The US Bank in town is closed. I don't know about the locally owned one. 

Yes, and the banks may be closed, but we certainly are not.

Many banks will be closed tomorrow, but Well Fargo, Chase and some others will be open. Call ahead if one is unsure.

Banks are closed in Ontario today, which is Thanksgiving Day.

In the USA, I saw a post on Huffington Post that said that some banks are closed but others are open.  Some of the well known national and regional banks are open.

I think they are closed....post office too!!! 

I knew that but outside of banks and government employees I dont think it effect many.

Yes, the banks are closed, the banks always have a holiday when I need to do something important that actually requires a branch to be open.

You mean "Indigenious Peoples' Day'"? I heard that many municipalities are bowing to the sensitivities of the PC crowd in renaming Columbus Day. Adn yes, banks are closed.
