I've heard of them and researched them, I NEVER hire a 3rd party to do my marketing. Invest the time to learn something yourself and you'll have more money to put towards that marketing piece or ad budget and most likely will get better results as you perfect it overtime.

My husband had a call from them yesterday and they wanted to speak to both of us so we had a "presentation" from them today. I asked about them here in the Q&A section and got a lot of negative feedback.

Yes, they call constantly. Never used their service. I think with time you could do the same job.

David Barr is right. Yodle is just a new brand in a market that has existed for some time. Their primary focus is selling paid search, but then they will tack on other services like social media management and even web development.
The issue I have with services like Yodle is the lack of specialization. An account rep may be placing ads for a local jewelry store one minute and then turning around to do ads for a realtor, plumber or any other business the next.
It's a churn and burn model. I even interviewed for a sales position at a similar company about 6 years ago...it's pure cold calling and hard selling with about 75-90% of their labor force in sales and only 20-25% (very subjective numbers here) working in account management and customer support.
If you don't have time to do your own local marketing I would consider using an agency that at least has some focus on real estate whether it be ad placement, social management and certainly if you plan to have a website built. Real estate marketing is definitely its own animal and needs more special attention than a Yodle-like company will afford you.

Thanks. They called me this morning as I was dashing out the door and no time to talk. Just listend to the short spiel for a montion. He plans on calling back Monday. I figure that gave me time to research the company.
The boot he will get then.

They won't stop calling, think I have gotten a dozen calls. Never answer them, never call them back.

Yes, heard from them, listened to about half of the canned speach, and quickly hung up after reading reviews of them at the same time.
