I did today and I simply removed myself from everyone and everything.   I felt if I had to deal with scary stuff and people pretending to be something they're not, I'd do it with goblins and witches instead   I went Halloween shopping  and had great fun watching all the little ones choosing their costumes and couples arguing over what candy to buy (each had their fave) !

Thank goodness that doesn't happen often but when I have had enough I declare some time away and let calls go to voicemail and let emails get the auto response. Nothing is so important that it can't wait a few hours.

I drive.  I just have to leave my office to run an errand and get away for a while then go back and get back at it.
