I had an assistant a couple of years ago, and yes, had her sign a confidentiality agreement.

Since I don't have any of those, Debbie... my answer has to be no. My husband helps out, but I'm not asking him to sign anything.

No, not regarding marketing; I have no secrets, everything I do is CRS Ninja based or Buffini & Company based...it's out there already . But, I remind them in writing: they have a responsibility to mirror in practice, my fiduciary duty to my clients and their information.
Now, I do have a proprietary & privacy clause in my agreement/contract with them regarding my database. Basically in legalese, I prosecute if they poach. But, knock on wood, I choose wisely my assistants & partners, so trust is already there or I wouldn't hire them.

Debbie,
In the words of one our wise mentor, a contract is as good as the paper it is written on. We have signed numerous NDA's, and have require it from people. Luckily no one has breached them, and we have not either. Trustworthy people are already that way...A

I do not work with any staff or assistants. I apprecaite and enjoy doing every aspect of my job myself, I also like keeping all the commission(s) I earn. I even put my own signs up.

Good morning Debbie. I have not hired someone new in a number of years. My processors have been with me for an average of 12 years, assistants over 6. No confidentiality agreements for now.
Make it a great week!

Yes is an important step however when they leave you really have no control over what they say or do

I do not have any assistants, but given the nature of our business (and my privacy and info sec background) I definitely would. One that states they are bound to protect the privacy of client information even after the termination of their employement. The hospital I worked at had that language. Good stuff.
