It turns itself off from about 9 - 5 am for me. I go to bed early on most nights, except when I am working on a contract, so that works well for me.

Ours go on silence.  They stay in the home office out of sight and mind.

they say that anything that works on the wifi (pc, phone etc) is not good to have near you. so they are on silent and away. if i wake up in the middle of the night i might check it lol

It's in the charger in another room.  Sometimes silenced but rarely off.

Mine is on a schedule to silence/turn on and I don't check it during the "off" time neither.

Yes, definitely.  Even if I don't get calls/texts, somehow I still get various "beeps" that I don't know how to control.  They may be coming from FB updates or emails.  Drives me crazy.

Silence is golden

 Good Wednesday morning Sandra. I leave it in the next room.

I turn mine off no later than 7 PM on most days, if I am out off town for a couple of days , it stays on all the time. My cell phone stays in my vehicle when I am in church.

Airplane mode 10pm-6am so it makes no noise at all until the alarm.

I pug it in at night, in another room.

My phone only goes off when the battery is dead.  It is on all day, even at the movies but silenced.

Put it on vibrate and place it under Sandy's pillow!

I use an app called Tasker for Android that automates certain things based on certain events.  At 2145 when I'm connected to my home wifi my phone goes into sleep mode until 0630.  My sleep mode is to silence everything except the phone ringer.

I plug it in at night, but it seldom gets turned off.

I silence my phone during the night. 

I use the settings so it's silent from 10pm - 5am, except for 'favorite' callers, like family. I don't have a land line, so want to be wakened if there is some kind of emergency.

I just keep mine on vibrate! If I hear the vibration then I'm not really that sleep and I can answer the phone. Only ifs a personal call, business can wait until the morning.
