I taught for 2 years... I wanted a job with independence.... and that paid much more than teaching.... and 37 years ago, I becames area estate broker....

The desire to stop making 2 or 3 round trips every week - both domestically and internationally!

Robert, started out in the Savings & Loan industry. A broker I did loans for suggested I get a license and work part time. When I started making more money part time, it became full time! Enjoy your day.

Good morning Alaska Bob. I decided to purchase property at a very early age and have never looked back.

Capital Direct Funding is a family run business.  What can I say; it's in my blood.  ;)  But I love it!

I got myself hired as an unlicensed assistant and lunch one day and quit my other job that afternoon.

I thought it could offer me the flexibility to spend time with my daughter. She was starting school and I thought I could contribute to the household and still be a full time mom. 

When we bought our home I got the idea.

When I moved to Kauai some of my business consulting clients wanted to invest here. After making lots of money for several agents I thought I should get my own license. 

It was the builder I was working for  and I worked as a payroll manager.  He paid for my classes and the state test.   I sold the last 15 or so homes in subdivision when the main agent had moved on to their new subdivisions.  That is how I started and 31 years later I am still selling.

Our Real Estate Agent was really horrible in communication.  I got in the business to show her how to be a great agent.

I decided to get into the RE Industry after I got my 2nd review at a company.  They were both excellent reviews, however the pay rate was not excellent.  After the 2nd review they wanted me to do more work for no additional pay. I was perplexed and not given a good answer as to why I would want to do that.  My husband had talked to the person who sold us our house and she said I could easily make $100,000 a year selling real estate.  For that, I had to give it a shot.  She failed to mention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  It has been a satisfying experience for the most part.

After working for someone else I knew I didn't want to do that but wasn't sure where to go/do then I met my boyfriend now business partner who did real estate then and so I eventually joined

It was a gradual move to add RE to our mix of companies.
