Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 I did read this anonymous question and answering because it's you.
I do answer some other anonymous questions if they are interesting.
And about the value of a home - assessed value is no indication of the final sale price. A smart investor did take risk to buy it at $770K knowing that there is a value in the home. No one got cheated - I believe, everyone knows what they are doing, specially when the amount involved is huge!

As long as everyone was happy with the amount of money they got I do not see a problem, assuming it was all legally signed contracts. If I was the guy that sold for 770k and a few days later it sells for 1.2 million I might be a little upset though.

The assessed value ha sno basis on real world value, however if the purchased at 770k and sold within 24 hours for 1.2 million, the seller who sold for 770k got ripped off.

Is this one of those questions where we are to think outside the box???
The second buyer saw an opportunity of the highest and best use, and went for it...like rezoning?
I wonder if I posted anonymously and spam a Q & A.. how many would report me.

I would say someone made a mistake in judgement and there may be liability there. Now it may be the agent, seller, buyer or next buyer that made that mistake.

looks like 770 left money on the table. but often there is hidden value in a place
