In my province, specific identifying information is required on each webpage.

That is a violation of NAR social media guidelines as well as Oklahoma.

That would be against our rules here in California as we are suppose to identify ourselves as agents along with our license number.

I haven't seen one of these before. They should identify themselves, but not sure if it is legal or just a board requirement.

David,
I don’t know why they would want to do that. My neighborhood specific blog posts which say nothing about and aren’t designed to look like an HOA site generate enough HOA questions which result in zero business.

This would be a violation of Florida rules for advertising from Realtors.

Many states have rules which require agents to identify themselves in all materials. I would contact the agents first and remind them and if they did not add information as required by the state, I would then contact the state agency responsible.
I feel strongly that the public should know when we are agents and how to contact us

No it is not.
Now, here is the catch, is the 'HOA like' website advertising real estate or that agents real estate services? Is revenue stimulated directly through this website going to the agent? Is revenue stimulated directly through this website benefiting the agent economically/indirectly?
Many agents have community websites that announce lost dogs, garage sales, membership directories, announcements and events. Some of them even have the permission of the HOA to create, support and maintain the HOA website. I would be one of them. AND advertising revenue WAS generated.
I had one that looked better and was better....and I am most certain every real estate agent in the county who felt left out tried to throw me under the bus. None prevailed.
It must be done smart.
Now, what do do about that website that looks Exactly like Wells Fargo and asking for my SS#?

They have very specific rules here in Kentucky, but many area specific pages, you have to look for the info. I guess its "legal" though, since its some of the most established Realtors in our market who have them.
