If we claim to be professional, we should hire professional photographers, just my opinion.  A

Professional for listings for sale.  

I am the world's worst photographer. I always use a professional and it pays off.

 Good Saturday morning Capt. Wayne. Judging by some of the pictures I see in the local MLS, I can see that some agents do it themselves.

We use professional Real Estate Photographers for most of our listings.

Captain Wayne - Rowlett Real Estate School I have to justify my Nikon DSLR so I take my own photos.

99% of my listing photos are done by a professional.  Only one that I can remember in the last couple of years did I photograph.  It was a tiny condo.

Most of the time using my Nikon digital SLR with special lenses, but at times hiring. Next year I am buying a 3D set up.

my team members all have excellent equipment and they take their own...including aerials.... Eric takes those of our subdivisions... 

I take my own pictures.

700 SF condo, I'll take the picts.

7,000 SF estate, I'll hire the guy with the equipment and the talent to make magic happen.

I take them myself. Some I edit in Lightroom.

I am a hands on person. Back in the late 70's I bought a good 35mm camera and took up a couple photography courses. I now have a nice Nikon camera and do all my own.

It depends on the listing.  I take them myself for the lower end listings.

For many properties I do it. I am pretty good with Photo Shop and can lighten them up like the "pros" do. If it is a high end property in need of a floor plan I hire out.

I take most of them but also have an technology assistant/photographer that takes some.

My broker has a fabulous professional photographer on the payroll.  He takes all of our listing shots, as well as anything we need for mailers.  

I take my own pictures.  Before taking pictures the house is staged and clutter free, with great light and no cars in the driveway.

We hire out all of our photography and video making.  We are Realtors, not photographers or editors.  It benefits us to stay focused on our current business, past client relationships, and marketing.  We don't build wordpress websites either.  

We've found that the more you hire out, the more you can grow your own business.  

Obviously new agents won't have the same mindset, but if you're established and can do it, hire out as much as possible.

Use almost all from my professional photographers and add some more from my collection, if they are good.

Except for those rare cases where a professional photographer is not going to help, I use a pro.

I still take most of mine ...with my iPhone and then edit them a little ....if it's a high dollar property I will sometimes use a professional ...

I do my own...$1000 worth of camera and lenses.

Never, ever take your own pictures for a residential listing for sale.  The only exceptions MIGHT be land for sale or  perhaps on a lease listing.  And did I mention the word NEVER?

I take my own photos with a HD camera, but for Luxury homes, we hire a professional.
