Sally & David,

I don’t see the point in it. Listing agents here don’t require it and I hope it doesn’t get started.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson It's not necessary - at least here in MA.

Sometimes I do put their initials if the listing agent insists - otherwise, no.

We do not register buyers here (unless it's new construction, then yes). Otherwise, there's nothing to register them for-there's no register...50% of what I show is vacant.

As I commented in your post -- I've started seeing this "request" in our mls although it is still rare.   It's silly in my opinion.

The Agent you choose REALLY does make a difference

No.  High end homes in my market are often "isting agent to accompany". I recently had a showing where I thought the listing agent really overstepped her bounds.  At an open house I am hosting it is another matter, I ask that all visitors register but when someone comes in on the arm of an agent, no way. In my view, it is the agent that you are registering in that case.

The small print in many PSA or contractors required forms require the selling agent to attend all showings or register your clients. That leads to money left on the table....

No name, but I do provide an initial. First names only for the grip and grin.

I would not care to hear my buyer report they received a very nice 'Thank You for visiting' note from the listing agent.
