none ...never did....we choose to home office and feel for us it is far more productive.

I have a full time assistant in a private office within our brokerage..I come in a lot and have clients meet me there. I keep my business out of my home.

I am the broker so I spend a lot of time there.... LOL He's really a nice guy unlike most people portray him to be.  I know him well, we spend a lot of time together....

As the better half retired and does not like my time on the phone or computer it is being utilized more now. Probably about thirty hours each week.

I home office so it's too easy to be in the office too much.  Just ask my wife. 

I am at my home office almost exclusively. I don't feel like I can focus at my brokers office.

Everyone is out in the open, and too many people just "hanging" out.

That atmosphere is not good for my business, but I guess it works for those that go in there daily.

Great question.  I am interested to see how others spend their day.  I spend Tuesday at the office each week so my clients can call or stop in to see me.

The rest of the week I am usually out in the field working with clients.  I do go to the office to meet new clients or prospects, safety policy.  But  usually my mornings are spent online doing a variety of prospecting task.

I've never set foot in my Brokerage -  don't really know where it is to be honest!

I've been told the brokerage has a building somewhere near the Target in Boot Ranch. I trust it's a really nice one.

I pay for access to it, actually have a key that may work. 

SOOOOOoooooooo, many REALTEC agents never use the office that the brokerage has imposed upon agents more systems that require mandatory usage. The reality is, these systems allow the brokage to know of events and activities regarding agent activity, that occur long before a contract is in effect. In essence, the broker is present in my home office. Not liking that very much.

I work from home, but have an office if I need to meet a client.  Probably 1%.

I have an office space but it's definitely much different than many years ago. I'm not sure of the percentage but you're spot on with your comparison to morgue-like appearances.

I've been reading about this phenomena. Seems the future of real estate is heading towards the virtual office. I would presume this would be the case since many realtors now work out of their homes, and with current day technologies allow them to conduct business just about anywhere they please.

I have always preferred to work from the office but practices have changed. Our large office has been redesigned because so many agents are working more from their home offices.

0-1%. No one seems to use office much these days unless they happen to live near the office, and/or need a place to meet potential buyers.

Bill, the last year I spent a lot of time in a brokers office would be around 2007. 

I cant make money sitting at my desk, i love being out and being busy. I can accomplish more. 

I couldn't say that it's even 1% of my time.

Depends on the day and what is going on.

I am only in the main office when there is a meeting or mail, etc... to be picked up.  The days of the humongous office suites in real estate are long gone!

Bill - I spend no time in my brokers office, although it is available to me if I ever needed it. I am usually out and about, or working from home.

We have a private office at Century 21 Bradley, and we work from there 2-3 days a week.  We also both have home offices and work on the go a lot of the time, but it's nice to go to an office.  

I would say probably about 70%, the rest is spent on doing Open Houses and showing property.  I also sometimes do a little work from home.
