It is a quick way to interact, and you do get some important answers.  

To me, it is much more personal and the posters in Q & A seem more relaxed.

There's always a gem hidden there... and sometimes it's just fun, which is ok too.

I'm here for the points.  I can barely stay ahead of Roy Kelley as it is!

If I were here for the points, I'd be blogging instead of answering questions for 15 points each.  LOL  I like to see what other real estate professionals are thinking.    I actually read many of the answers to questions, not just give my opinions.

There really are not that many points in this area, so why would anyone be here just for the points?

On the other hand there is not much more value here than watercooler fun visiting.

This is my quick fix here on AR. Definitely not for points. Just have not wanted to blog about my current clients, what I am going to do next year, etc. Will make a fresh start blogging on AR later in December.

There are some great questions, and I like the interaction. Some of the questions I also have a lot of fun with. Although I do have a point goal I'm working hard to reach by the end of the year, and this section helps with working towards that goal. This is just a personal goal I've set for myself, because I do things like that. 

Yes, I've gotten some great answers on my q's (generally around marketing) and I've also picked up some good ideas by reading the answers to other q's.

I also think it's fun and I've met some new people/subscribed, etc.

And, yes, some of the q's here are stupid and a waste of time.

Some Q&A have a good discussion of certain aspects of real estate as practiced across our great continent.  Points have no current value if you have more than 500,000 points.

Good morning Karen. I have enjoyed answering many of the questions, usually the ones that are from folks that I follow.

Some of the questions are interesting. However, I would not miss this section if it were eliminated. I would rather see these questions and answers in the form of blogs.

I think there are some good questions but a lot of it is probably for points.

No I'm not here for the points.

Example: You recently responded to a question regarding 'delineating technology' and the purpose for the question was to confirm that folks will stop reading as soon at they felt they knew where the question was going, even when asked to read to the end. You read until you decided I was promoting a Virtual Tour program. This was one of the anticipated responses. 

Now, if one was going to market to real estate agents, that question and the corresponding responses has significant value regarding how the message must be structured.

PS: What one gets out of AR Q&A is exactly what they make it. Unfortunately there is too much garbage in / garbage out stuff.

Some questions/answers can spark either a conversation or a blog idea so there can be value found in this section.   Although I do admit to shaking my head and wondering about the state of our world at times.  

Some quick points.  Yeah, I like collecting them but not totally obsessed.  

It's also an opportunity for me to be even snarkier than I can be in posts or comments.  

I enjoy posting and answering question points or no points.

The questions are fun. Sometimes  I get great ideas.

I ask questions usually to get another point of view...stimulate some "conversation" and the other day...got a quesion answered I have been searching for an answer for ...for waht seems like eternity. There will always be a "just the points" person...Silent Saturday...wordless Wednesday...those have no point...other than "entertainment" value which some people may find of value.

Yes & Yes.  I see value, but I see a lot more stuff that is either a repeat or brings very little to the table....but that's just one opinion.  When I ask questions I'm mostly interested in learning, though.

i do..however i am glad you asked that question. it bothers me how often the question is answered, however i have no idea what question they are answering?? its like they dont read the question.. soooo, i see value if its done properly.

It depends.  The points aren't that important to me but I enjoy popping in. I scoot by in a hurry the questions that are there just to be there. 

Yes - you can ask specific questions and hopefully get specific answers.  With blogs, the comments are different than answering a question.  That said, while I'm not just here for the points, if there weren't any points, by definition it would be POINTLESS! 

For this question the points but there have and are valid questions.

There are questions that shoudn't be here.  What's wrong with getting some points while reading some of the qustions and answers.  We get a lot of perspectives on questions here.  It's a good idea.

I look for the intellegent questions as it tells me that the agents are trying to better themselves and shows some intelegence and concern for their clients

A 30 year experience realtor ask elementary questions. Obviously they have a motivation... 

Here I doubt that is the case. 

Ocassionally I learn something from someone elses question.  Mostly I ask about things I may be thinking about adopting. or quitting.

I've gotten value out of here through my own questions and other's questions.  I do enjoy the points too and the ease of the Q&A section.  I'd rather read a 20 word question than a 150 word blog, it's just quicker and a quicker bang for the buck.

I like to jump in and read a few questions and answers to take a short break from my work. 

Yes. I see value anytime I can learn from others.  The Q&A section has been very helpful to me.

I like to check in to see what questions are asked and if I can learn something new. It doesn't always has to be a long blog to cover a topic or get some good advice.

Both Karen Fiddler, Broker/Owner I have learned a few things here in the Q&A section but face it, I like the points as well.

I did get started for the points, however I do see that there is value. I just have to hunt for good questions and good answer to my questions.

I just discovered it this week and have lost 100's of points by not being aware !

Karen Fiddler, Broker/Owner I like good questions, unfortunately this is not one of them.  If it were point it would be easier to just follow someone, comment on a blog or write and non-essential blog post.

I am kinda new here and I must say I really enjoy the Question and Answer sectio. I get great ideas through it all, I get to interact with others and sometimes, it's just fun. 

I actually like to check out the questions and answer a few everyday ....

I just here for the free coffee and donuts. 

I'm not interested in points but I do like helping people when I feel I can bring some value to question.

Actually, I'd say, I am lucky as I have received a great guidance here several times - just by asking question on some real life real estate related concerns and the answers here helped me resolve those issues.

I find many interesting questions and answers here.  Some ideas and product reviews.  Sometimes I ask more questions than I receive points. Same with answers.
